The fans call it “America’s National Park of Speed” and with its three long straightaways, variety of challenging corners and big elevation changes, the 4.048 mile long circuit, officially known as Road America, is a favorite of the Michelin technical partner drivers and teams because it is a challenging track and a pleasure to drive according to Ken Payne, motorsport’s technical director, Michelin North America.
Corvette Racing reached a major milestone in style here today with a big 1-2 finish in the GTLM class in the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park.
In a sport obsessed with numbers, Michelin and its technical partner teams will face a truly unique combination when they take to the 1.474 mile circuit at Lime Rock Park, July 23 for the Northeast Grand Prix.
A perfectly timed pit strategy and the ability to effectively double-stint their MICHELIN tires helped Ford Chip Ganassi Racing’s Ryan Briscoe and Richard Westbrook take their third consecutive GTLM class victory in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship here at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
