Corvette Racing reached a major milestone in style here today with a big 1-2 finish in the GTLM class in the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park.
In a sport obsessed with numbers, Michelin and its technical partner teams will face a truly unique combination when they take to the 1.474 mile circuit at Lime Rock Park, July 23 for the Northeast Grand Prix.
A perfectly timed pit strategy and the ability to effectively double-stint their MICHELIN tires helped Ford Chip Ganassi Racing’s Ryan Briscoe and Richard Westbrook take their third consecutive GTLM class victory in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship here at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
As Michelin and its technical partner teams work through the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship they face circuits that are defined by horsepower, or handling and several highly technical circuits. And then there is Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP), site of this weekend’s Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix, which demands them all.
Michelin technical partner Ford Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) backed up its stunning GT victory at the recent Le Mans 24 Hour race, by winning the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTLM class pole, setting fastest race lap and scoring an impressive 1-2 finish here at Watkins Glen.
