Toyota has jumped to the top of the timesheets in final practice at the FIA World Endurance Championship at Circuit of the Americas.
Sebastien Buemi recorded the fastest lap of 1 minute, 45.712 seconds aboard the No. 8 Toyota TS050 – a massive 1.7 seconds fastest than the No. 2 Porsche 919 Hybrid.
Porsche took the third fastest spot ahead of the second Toyota in fourth.
Buemi’s time however was slower than was recorded by the No. 1 Porsche in practice 2 yesterday.
Olivier Pla took the Ford GT to the top of the timesheet in GTE-Pro – nearly 8/10ths of a second faster than the pair of AF Corse Ferraris in second and third.
Ford actually topped and tailed the practice session with the No. 67 slowest amongst eight GTE-Pro cars.
Teams will be back on track this afternoon at 3:05pm (local time) for qualifying.
